This xml photo gallery tutorial is mainly about how to create xml photo gallery with free xml gallery template. In addition we introduce another easy way to free flash photo gallery software which can create various flash gallery without xml skills.

Step 1: Download free xml gallery template

Download free xml photo gallery source file from Google sites and unzip it. The package should include images folder, image_loader.fla file, image_loader.swf file, and images.xml file and image_loader.html file.

Step 2: Add your digital photos to image folder

Choose your favorite photos to add into image folder. There is no quantity limitation for digital photos. However, in order to get a good presentation, the size of your digital photo should not exceed 500px*500px.

Step 3: Edit XML file for adding digital photos

Open images.xml file with a text editor, such as Dreamweaver MX. You will notice that all images are described with the following XML tags located between the <IMAGE> and </IMAGE> tags. You can place as many images as you want by copy and paste the content between the <IMAGE> and </IMAGE> tags. You just need to revise the red content according to your own photos' name.

Step 4: Set transition effect and duration time

Look the xml code again, and you can set the transition effect by revise the value of "TRANSITION" attribute. You can write 0 -9 ten numbers. 0 represent random transition. Regarding to the duration time, you can revise the value of "ALT_PAUSE" attribute.

Step 5: Upload your xml photo gallery on website

Copy and paste the following HTML code to your website, such as MySpace, Blogger. So long as your website supports HTML code, you can put it anywhere as you like. Don't forget to revise the red URL blow to your own URL.
